Fredu by Peter Hasselgren

The rumors on the streets are true! ICON Snowboarding is proud to welcome Fredu Sirviö to
ICON Outerwear program. Being hands down one of the worlds best urban rail riders, Fredu
will be a superior addition to ICON Outerwear team while Stepchild Snowboards will remain
his board sponsor. Fredu will be rocking his own signature outerwear line, The Heartbreak
Collection, which will be hitting the stores around the world in the fall 2010.

“ We are naturally super happy to have a Rider and a Person like Fredu with us. We have
always been amazed by Fredu´s uncompromising style when it comes to riding as well the
clothes he’s rocking. That’s why we wanted to give Fredu an opportunity to design a collection
for himself so that he would finally have outerwear that he actually wants to wear and that
matches his style without any compromises.

Fredu Sirviö:
“ I’m really stoked to ride for ICON Clothing and be a part of the Immortal Cowboys of North!
And even more stoked to get my own clothing line from them! I designed one pant and two
jackets. The pants are pretty much the tightest snow pants ever made. It’s just perfect to have
the jean look and feel combined with waterproofed stretch fabrics to make it more comfy on
snow. The first jacket is called the McCoy jacket, which is inspired by my favorite guitarist
Andy McCoy from Hanoi Rocks. The other jacket is called the Cash jacket. Do I even have
to say who is the inspiration for that one? I’m really glad and hyped on how the clothes look
and feel! Mind over matter.

The Dudesons crew is shaking things up big time in USA. Even though being busy with filming new episodes for their TV show, HP managed to update us what has been going on lately.

Season started pretty well for me. I had couple of really fun days of riding in Jouppiska, Seinäjoki. But then in a test jump from new kicker I missed the landing and found myself from the flat with a twisted knee. Torn ACL and some other ligaments read in doctors diagnose. Anyway park in Jouppiska is in good shape now! Here’s couple of pictures from last spring…

One of the key players in our crew and a social butterfly Ali Toppinen stopped by at Dropin market’s store opening party in Helsinki. The store opened its doors in September and will be carrying Icon in its web shop. Sweet!

The season in the southern hemisphere is still in full action while we at the northern side of the globe are just waiting to hit the slopes. We just received this message from our Australian friend (and ICON distributor) Jarred: ” Ris and I did a backcountry hike for a few hours.  I’m standing just near the summit of Mt Kosciusko which is the highest point of Australia at 2226 meters.”

The annual Boardexpo trade show in Helsinki is getting closer and closer and ICON is sooooooo prepared for it. We will definitely have some good stuff going on our booth (6n19) so make sure that you don’t miss it!
